- CCChrista CarpenterAug 8, 20265.0This location and the one in Edgewater BRINGS WAUGH CHAPEL TO SHAME!!!! I've shopped at Waugh Chapel for 25 years. As soon as the new Manager started, it sucks!! Rotten food all over the store. Bowie was great!! No empty shelves, organized, no rotted bacon or lunch meat or steaks & hams. No rotten cheeses or any sort of charcuterie. The deli was all fresh. I was on another planet. Lol Loved it!!

The first time I was able to get a riding cart but it died on me half way thru the store and I had to limp to the front of the store and get a regular shopping cart and limp back to get the groceries then limp back up front to check out. This was huge inconvenience and put me in so much pain. I did speak to the Manager Alfredo and he promised to do better. The next two times I came to the store the riding shopping carts weren't charge and I walked out and went to the Gaint Grocery store which is much further away. Come on Safeway get it together because you about to lose me as a customer and yes I will let my neighbors and community know.

The aisles and shelves appeared disorganized, and the level of cleanliness was well below what I would expect from a major grocery chain. A clean, organized shopping environment makes a significant difference, and unfortunately this store fell short. I also needed assistance and went to the customer service desk, but no one was present. I waited for a while and looked around for an employee, but I was unable to find anyone available to help. Customer service should be easy to access, especially during normal business hours. Overall, the store gave the impression of being understaffed or poorly managed. I hope management takes a closer look at both the cleanliness of the store and the availability of staff, as these are basic expectations that greatly affect customer satisfaction.

If you like a low budget experience with a high price tag this is the store for you. Service is non existent, they rarely have bags available and when they do they are flimsy, handless and fall apart before you can even get to your car. Extremely poor management. Get it together Safeway.
