  Super-creamy and tasty ice cream. Rivals The Ice Cream Store in Rehoboth Beach. Java Jolt was fabulous. Absolutely Nuts could use more nuts. ------- Fine, I confess! I had to go back the next day ... got a large Java Jolt and a large Black Raspberry to go. Yum! Those young ladies behind the counter work hard. I say give them a raise.

  To preface this review, I have owned multiple small businesses and usually leave favorable reviews giving the benefit of the doubt to the owner. This review is an exception. We waited 30 minutes for service as there were only two staff working. We ordered multiple small cups of ice cream. Mine was good until I felt a hair in my mouth. I spit the ice cream back into my cup and a long black hair was embedded in the scoop. It definitely was not mine as I have short hair. I went back into the store and informed the first girl and the second girl said ‘give him another cup’. I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be store and board of health policy to cap the tub and throw it out knowing it might have more hair in it? I refused the offer and stood waiting for the girl to offer a refund. Instead she threw the cup out and walked back to service other customers. Typically I would insist on a refund but it was Mother’s Day and didn’t want to upset my mom. Instead I kept it to myself knowing I will never step foot in this establishment again. This store might get great reviews on the ice cream but when staff are untrained and apathetic about the customer’s experience an unfavorable review is inevitable. This is it.

  They were making fresh waffle cones as we walked in, filling the space with a scent that instantly brought us joy. The staff was warm and friendly. The ice cream was amazing, by far the best I've ever tasted. The chairs outside practically cradled us as we enjoyed our delicious treats. I was just passing through on my way back to New Jersey, but this ice cream made me want to move to Berlin!

  So many choices! You can sample to help narrow down to your favorite. Marsh Mud- so extra chocolately. Had that in a waffle cone; Swamp Mud- chocolate with caramel; pineapple upside down cake. Had that as a milk shake. Delicious!

  Every time we visit Berlin, a stop for ice cream is a MUST. The flavors are so unique, the ice cream is delicious, the portions are massive! Most recently we ordered the 'kid size' cone. It was still a good amount of ice cream - and served in a bowl with a spoon, just in case! When in Berlin, get your ice cream before you do anything else - you don't want to run out of time or be too full after dinner!
