  This stores new security barricading the entrances and all exits and proof of receipt is not only illegal but its completely unsafe. As a local it pains me to see a once convenient grocery store turn into such an exhausting experience every time I have to walk through the sliding glass doors to shop at this god forsaken place.

  They're recently installed security items that have made shopping at this store awful. I keep paying more and more for groceries and keep getting treated more and more like the criminal. They installed a gate when you enter. Then one where you have to scan your receipt after self checkout to open the door. I was annoyed with this and used the cashier instead. Still my cart's wheels locked just as I entered passed the first exit Thankfully I only got $100 worth of groceries so I could carry them all with one hand out of that cursed placed.

  This store has become my go-to for all my grocery needs! The selection is fantastic, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the fresh produce and the great deals they offer—definitely worth a visit!

  The new security system is terrible. Left there exhausted. I wanted to do a customer service transaction and then shop, I had to exit and then go back into the entrance door cause all the isles are blocked. While there i saw a worker step over a gate to come to the aid of a customer and that's workers comp waiting to happen.How bad is it? Literally why is there even security at the door? Is security making sure the security system working? One isle open maybe or move the customer service desk maybe, idk but I literally left there thinking if it's this unsafe then maybe I shouldn't be here.. everything's block to where even the law bidding can't get in or out. Ouch!

  Safeway at harford rd installed security gates to enter and leave the store. Upon leaving the self checkout area there was no instructions saying how to exit. So I assumed the gate opened as exiting. Apparently not, so I next decide to go through the gate thinking it's manual, (no instructions posted at this time) well when that doesn't work the employee who should have been there to see this ,as the gate is new, comes out of nowhere screaming at me about not breaking the gate. At this point my 63 year old self is getting upset because I don't like being unlawfully held against my will. And the attitude of these employees aren't as some people say. They are NOT polite. My point is, install all you like, but if it affects the public put some signs up. You might know how it works because it's yours but some people don't.
