I live in neighborhood and stopped by on Friday 7/31 before 6pm after a long day at work. Picked up quite a few items to only find out all the registers were closed despite many workers inside only self checkout which I do not care for due to many reasons so decided just leave and find another store down the street with humans at registers.

Items on sale in the aisle are full price at the checkout, even with rewards membership. Paid $13 for something that was supposed to be $3.

This is a fine store, not my main store I shop at but nearby when I need something. Was really annoyed and disappointed with the lack of basic knowledge of the staff members. I was planning to bake a cake for a party and needed to get some buttermilk. When I went to the milk section I couldn’t find any buttermilk and then noticed that there was a label on the shelf but none in stock on the shelf. I went to the front and asked a staff member if there was anyone that could check in the back to see if there was any buttermilk in the back. The man (an older gentleman with white hair) told me they don’t have buttermilk, I told him they do and said I saw the shelf and label but that there were just no bottles there which was why I was asking if someone could check the back. He proceeded to tell me that they only have buttermilk during the holidays and that it’s a seasonal item. I told him it wasn’t. He then proceeded to ask me why I needed the buttermilk in July and I told him I was baking a cake. I’m not sure if he was thinking I was asking for eggnog? But obviously only one person in the conversation knew what buttermilk was and it wasn’t him. If you work in a grocery store, you think you’d be knowledgeable on basic staple items like a type of milk.
