  I take no pleasure in writing negative reviews for any business (especially Black owned), but the customer service at this restaurant was unforgivable. While retrieving my lunch order, the young man at the counter was on his AirPods speaking to someone on a personal call, and while handing a comically lightweight bag to me, I mentioned that an item was missing and he just matter of factly said, “Oh, we took that off.” When I asked for an explanation and a receipt, he just scoffed and casually walked to the kitchen for some private phone time. As someone who worked in food service for many years, that kind of behavior is unacceptable. His female coworker took over, she was friendly and tried to help, but she didn’t know how to print out a receipt. 🫠 She at least gave me an explanation as to why the fries were automatically removed from the order, and I appreciate that. My gripe is that this is basic bare minimum stuff for any legitimate business, and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by having the audacity to order food and want some sort of receipt/proof of purchase. Frankly, if your Point of Sales team doesn’t even know how to print a receipt or contact a customer if they need to alter an order as a courtesy, then they don’t need be on staff. Buy a self-serve kiosk and food lockers at that point.

  My family is Hausa/nigerian and I’ve missed food from home so I was excited to eat here. I ordered the goat Egusi and pounded yam from here many times and it’s one of my favorite dishes and very authentic. It’s better than any other restaurants in the area and I highly recommend. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the beef “suya” and jollof. The portion is great which is the only positive I can say. The jollof just tastes of artificial smoke and the “suya” is somehow sour and lacks any original taste or texture other than the sprinkling of yagi. It doesn’t have any of the savory, nutty spice that should be there and was barely edible. I really appreciate this restaurant and the egusi so I don’t want to leave a bad review but hopefully they will improve and make it better.

  Salty, I had the suya pizza and I could taste the salt in the tomato sauce! Meatpie was hard(almost like it was microwaved for too long, not fresh in anyway), and dough was too sweet.
