  A good vibe with the music band. Had a little wait to be served, but they took care us eventually. The food was excellent. Catfish seasoned to perfection, greens flavorful, the mac was tasty, some of the best around. Overall good experience!

  Absolutely the best soul food I ever had coming from Philadelphia And my host ms candy was amazing the best felt like family she so sweet and make sure we was well taken care of best service And the cook did amazing food was hot and fresh best ever I had fried whiting poboy nd southern wings My family have the salmon platter he loved And garlic parm wings platter The fries was so good bread was so fresh Highly recommend!!!! Thanks again ms candy

  I ordered the chicken tenders box that’s SUPPOSEDLY comes with fries from DoorDash (mistake #1 I guess) I also ordered a separate side of fries & a slice of sweet potato pie. The tenders.. DRY & SHRIVELED & NO FRIES in the box. The extra side of fries.. in a clear container, no ventilation, visibly you could tell they were fried in dirty oil & were completely soggy. Mind you I paid over $30 for this. The fact that you couldn’t get something as simple as chicken tenders & fries right, lets me know everything I need to know. If you try this place (specifically for my delivery folks), just know it’s a 50/50 chance your food will be missing or inedible. The pie was good if that’s any consolation 🤷🏽‍♀️. -2/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

  Ordered here with high expectations but unfortunately the food was nothing near what i expected . Ordered a “jumbo lump crab cake” mac n cheese yams all a la carte and a fried chicken dinner .the crab meat was not jumbo lump and was super small for 26$. My chicken dinner came with mac which was ok and a table spoon of cabbage . the cabbage tasted more like mustard greens than anything . I came in ten mins before my food was ready to check and never was told that they had to replace my yams with a sweet potato pie , wasnt even given the option for something different . Then to top it off my food came to 56 $ or so (ordered online ) but somehow my card was charged 66$ . Never again ! The sweet potato pie that I didnt even ask for was the best thing i got smh.

  I ate at Next Phaze Cafe with a friend recently and had a great meal. We both had fried catfish platters with collard greens and yams. The collard greens were as good as any I've ever had and the breading on the fried catfish was the best I've ever tasted. It has an addicting taste. We took slices of the sweet potato pie home and definitely enjoyed them. They will satisfy your sweet tooth. Candy was our hostess and waitress and was wonderful. She has a great personality and made us feel very welcome. My only suggestions would be for the air conditioning to be kept at a more comfortable temperature. It was a little on the warm side for us. I would also suggest making the dining area more inviting with a wider area of tables to choose from. Everything was a little close. But those suggestions are minor compared to the delicious food and outstanding service.
