  Upon arrival the front desk was rude and dismissive. We understand there is a no one gets seated until all parties are present policy but the person at the desk was rude about it. Furthermore the person that seated us had a bad attitude which we corrected immediately. The alcoholic beverages are not alcohol they taste like homemade juices and teas. I don't recommend wasting your money on them, just get regular drinks. The food was ok but nothing to rave about. The shrimp & grits are small portions placed on fried green tomatoes so not your true southern shrimp and grits beware. The waiter was nice and friendly but I would not go back to this location. Very disappointing and we had guest from out of town, this did not represent the culture of Baltimore at all!!! :-(

  I went here for Mother’s Day, I’ll say this last year I had a wonderful time. This year not so much. I found hair in my brisket skillet. Joe the manager was wonderful, the other lady manager wasn’t so much. She came over and apologized and said she would bring me a menu back to get something else and she never ever came back. Never checked back in, never spoke to the waitress. The waitress never came over to check until AFTER Joe the manager mentioned what happened. Joe showed empathy and was truly trying to make it right , the other manager not so much.

  I had a great experience at Miss Shirley’s! The food was excellent and everything tasted amazing. We did have a small issue, but the manager Mikayla handled it very respectfully and promptly, which I truly appreciated. Our server Jordan was also great very attentive, caring, and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. The customer service here is always top tier. Thank you both so much! We will definitely be back. (Sorry if I’m spellling Mikayla wrong).

  I had a great experience at Miss Shirley’s Café in Roland Park. My server, Mark, was friendly, attentive, and professional. He listened carefully while I placed my order, got everything right, checked in periodically, kept my water and iced tea refilled, and even thanked me before I left—which isn’t always the case these days. The restaurant itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the food is consistently delicious. I also appreciate the beautiful seating areas in both the front and back, along with convenient parking in the rear.

  The service is always exceptional. Our server, Olivia, was friendly and helpful. I like the fact that they will make changes to any item you order which some restaurants will not do. The food is always good. There is parking in back of the restaurant. We always go at 9, so we never have a parking problem. I imagine there might be a problem at other times. The servers are always friendly and helpful.
