We took my husband for Father’s Day after my younger “foodie” daughter heard great things. They did not disappoint. We had a reservation and arrived 15 minutes early but they already had our table available. Eimy came quickly to order drinks and appetizers. My husband who does not drink got the Melodia Mocktail. I took a sip and was impressed by its fruitiness and presentation. The Blue Ninja Margarita was such a pretty blue and apparently tasted as good as it looked. Next onto the appetizers which came quickly as well. The WooSox roll and El Fokin Ninja Roll did not disappoint. And the Mofonguitos de Plantano were delicious. Two of us got the El Domi and one the Shrimp Chofan. Portion sizes were large and the shrimp dish was passed around, as my daughter couldn’t finish it. We all split Tres Leches (2 pieces since there were 4 of us) and agreed the perfect amount of leches— not too soaked and not too dry. Each time we finished our plates attentive Eimy removed them for us quickly and refilled our waters when needed, asking first, of course. The cost for four diners with all the those apps and drinks and desserts was under $200. And a bonus— live music! The atmosphere was festive, food a-plenty. We definitely will return. In fact one of the diners in our party rated it one of the top 3 restaurants in Worcester. The infusion of Japanese and Dominican cuisine is both unique and tasty.

Service was fast but thorough. Food was ambitious and delivered. Live music made for a fun atmosphere. Dessert came on a plate decorated for Father’s Day which was a thoughtful touch. The Blue Ninja Margarita was a 10/10. 100% will be returning. Can already say this is one of the best restaurants in the city.

As someone from the Caribbean homesick for food that felt like home, this restaurant scratched that itch. It’s expensive though, so be prepared for that. There is interesting Japanese fusion, but I went for something authentic. The rice and beans were perfect.

I went for lunch with my husband and children. The service from the hostess, waitress, and bartender was excellent. They were extremely kind and attentive. The drinks were FANTASTIC - I highly recommend the strawberry margarita. The food… better than I ever could have hoped. The calamari starter was crispy and well seasoned. The main ‘surf and turf’ is AMAZING. I am so happy I have leftovers to enjoy again later tonight. My husband loved the red snapper and the presentation for each dish left us very impressed. The sweet plantains were so delicious, please be sure to get this as your main side. Our kids loved their food as well, hamburger and chicken tenders. If you haven’t gone to Taino Restaurant yet, GO!

This was my sister and I first time trying this place. The atmosphere was good, the tables were small, no space, so very close to the people next to us. The drinks were really good, alcohol portion was spot on, it was probably the best thing there. Our waiter was good and she was nice. We ordered appetizers, sushi, and main course. Everything that we ate was lacking flavor. There was no seasoning, no flavor, not even salt and pepper. It was just pretty. We had reservations and they knew that it was a birthday dinner and they did absolutely nothing. I'm not sure if we were supposed to tell them again when we got there but no celebration. For two people it was $220 which is SO expensive for the food to be flavorless. We had high hopes from the look of the pictures so I'm really disappointed that I wasted $220 for nothing. We will not be going back to this place ever again and I don't recommend it to anyone unless you like food with no flavors.
