I was really excited to try this new Chipotle, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment.
The line was out the door, and we waited over 20 minutes for our food. I understand it was dinner time and expected it to be busy, but the service was still extremely slow. The employees were so quiet behind the glass that it was nearly impossible to hear them while ordering.
By the time we got to the front, they were already out of several ingredients. For a brand-new location during the dinner rush, you’d think they’d be better prepared. The meat looked old, dry, and unappetizing. I ordered double meat and barely received any more than a normal portion, so you’re paying extra without actually getting much more.
The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. There was noticeable cross-contamination happening along the serving line, which was concerning. After finally getting our food, the chicken was barely warm and the steak was dry as a bone.
Overall, this was not a good experience. I was really hoping this location would be an improvement over the other Worcester Chipotle, which has also been consistently disappointing. Unfortunately, it seems to have the same issues.
For comparison, the Chipotle in Shrewsbury (White City) has been consistently excellent for the 6+ years I’ve been going there. They move customers through quickly, give fair portions, rarely run out of ingredients, and the food is consistently fresh.
I even took a manager’s card, and the district manager is Dan Blaisdell. I hope he steps in and addresses these issues because it’s disappointing to see a brand-new restaurant already struggling this much. First impressions matter, and right now this location has a lot of work to do.
