This is regarding the Plaistow NH Shaws Store.
I am giving up on their on-line shoppers I received expired food shopped. They are simply not checking use by dates. Example - ob my grocery delivery from July 29th I have a package of steak and Simply Potatoes with diced onions that had expired. In addition I received bagels with an expiration of August 1 use by date. I called, spoke to the manager on duty and reported this. I also suggested that the shoppers go through training again as this is not the first time it has happened.
On June 17th I had a pork loin with a use by date of June 11 delivered. I received a refund on this.
I went to the actual store on August 2nd and did some shopping. What I found was Steak with an expired use by date and also Idahoan Homestyle Lowe Sodium with an expired date, about 11 packages. I pulled out that rack and found a rack with dates that were okay. In the past, I never found problems with expired food when shopping. It seems that 2026 is not a good year as this is when the problems with expiration dates started happening.
I now will do my own shopping. As I have mobility issues, this will be done twice a week so I do not cause more pain on my back. If I continue to see out of date products, I will stop shopping there and start using Hannaford.

I can tolerate the occasional mouse (par for the course); but, beyond rude deli counter people with managers protecting their names and not having them apologize...only shows a corporate enforcement of such poor interactions with customers. So many places to choose from...I'll start avoiding cobbs corner.

It is really upsetting that Shaw’s on line customers get all kinds of bonuses, cash rewards , rebates, I personally go into the store and support that store also keeps jobs , corporate needs to think about the walk in’s I bet they make up more then the on line , as a southern shopper you never see this to their customers, customer service is #1 not the ones sitting in the car , also on line means that is it what is on the list , walk in is doubled , unhappy Shaw’s customer ,one more reason to go to market basket ,

A three star rating as employer same or less as a retail grocery store. As a former employee I saw massive expansions and enjoyed being a part of that growth-Stratham replaced twice, S. Lawrence opens/closes. Seabrook. Portsmouth lost both locations now Mckinnons and in Newington Whole Foods. Set up prepared foods in Derry, Hookset, Goffstown. New store openings and inventory team. Profit sharing and parties at Yokens, some associates saved up to 7 figure. During layoffs store Manager Portsmouth reported by office he marked down patio set for himself, and his asst. fired too. Mr. G. has deli cook expired sausage, rest of day spent with GI issues. The level of cleanliness in the deli unsurpassed. An outside company Micro bac made surprise visits taking samples and swabs to detect any possible spoilage or unsanitary issues. The hot foods had thermometer readings recorded and monitored for time and temperature-keeping hot food hot and cold food cold. Sampling recipes was expected and I always bought my products. The BBQ ribs were very popular smoked and grilled, bathed in Ah-So, baby back and country. In store fried rice cooked in steamer also well received. Deli managers blended in frozen ready made entrees into the hot foods table. In Stratham a large hot food selection was rotated out every few hours for freshness. Able to recover eggs and fresh pasta when credits given and product cooked for sale. It was my honor to have worked at FW Woolworths, Portsmouth, for (Alta) mother of a manager Dave D. who passed at young age. Most personable store mngr. B. Eaton. (J. Randal). Bob. C. now with Mkt. My favorite co-worker Dana works for HP Hood. wife L. Ed A. As a grocery store it was my pleasure to perform resets, NICI, disco items marked down. Worked for Kraft as a f/t service representative. Too many gimmicks at Shaws to get sale items-MB has no requirement sales-SW tuna .80 cents, 1-lb. rotisserie chicken salad pre pack $3.99. Sea pak beer bater cod, Bell and Evans coconut panko tenders, most EDLP are sale items at Shaws. However the Fried chicken in Dover best value. Aldis has great prices on breaded eggplant cutlets. Hnfrd. hamburger $3.99 -80 %. WM has best lettuce pre pack Manns leaf a solid pkg. has real taste.
