The quality of Hannaford has declined remarkably over the last few years. It’s now routine to see moldy or rotting produce and get stale bread. I’ve noticed items (like pita bread) which say on the package that they should be refrigerated or frozen put in the non-refrigerated session and when you get them home, they are inedible. Finally, I bought a tub of hummus yesterday and when I got it home, I found someone had broken the inner seal and eaten some of it in a way that wasn’t visible when you grabbed the product. It needed to go straight into the trash. The store now feels dingy and dirty. Someone needs to do a complete turnaround on how this place is being managed. In the mean time, I’ll shop elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a supermarket with good service, just stay far far away from this one! I bought one of their gift cards here, and it didn’t work at all. The cashier told me just come back to them if it didn’t work. But when I actually went back, they said they can’t do refunds and told me to contact the customer service to see if they could help me out. On top of that, whenever I had an issue with a product I bought from this store, they just dodge all responsibility and make customers deal with the problems by themselves. What’s even worse, they told me to come back to them if the gift card didn’t work, but when I showed up asking for help, they couldn’t do anything for me! They straight up lied to me about the gift card refund policy. They didn’t even apologize once for this whole mess! They have zero respect and zero honesty to me!
