Five Guys is one of those chains that stays popular because it does the basics really well. The setup is simple and casual, with the familiar red-and-white interior, open kitchen, stacks of potato bags, and the smell of burgers and fries filling the room. It feels more focused on getting you a satisfying meal than creating a memorable dining atmosphere, but that's part of the appeal. Whether you're dining in or grabbing food to go, the experience is usually straightforward and consistent. The burgers are the main attraction here, especially because of how customizable they are. The patties are juicy, cooked fresh to order, and loaded with toppings at no extra charge. The cheeseburger is substantial, with two patties that can easily be more filling than expected, while the smaller burger options still deliver the same flavor without being quite as heavy. The fries are just as iconic as the burgers, arriving in generous portions that often seem to overflow the bag. The Cajun fries remain a favorite for their seasoning, while the regular fries are crispy, fresh, and hard to stop eating. Everything leans heavily into classic American comfort food without trying to reinvent it. Service is generally efficient, although many locations have shifted toward touchscreen ordering, which makes the experience feel a bit less personal than it used to. Food usually comes out quickly, and the quality tends to be consistent from visit to visit. Parking and crowds can sometimes be a challenge depending on the location, but the overall experience is reliable if you're looking for a burger without surprises. Five Guys isn't necessarily the cheapest fast-casual option anymore, but the quality, customization, and oversized portions help justify the price. It remains one of the stronger burger chains around, especially when you're craving a straightforward burger and fries meal that consistently delivers.

Nobody in line. Ordered one burger and fries. Everyone that came after me got their order first. 25 minutes later I got mine and it wasn't even hot. Fries had way too much salt on them and burger patties are getting thinner and thinner. Everyone but the one on the grille working in slow motion. Definitely not worth over 20 dollars that I spent.

I've been a big Five Guys fan since before they started franchising. I've ordered food from one of the original five guys. You could say I know what I'm talking about. But I probably won't be in this location again. Witness the size of their "regular" fries now! Time was you could feed a family on a regular fries. I tried to ask when this change happened, and their supposed manager didn't know. At least, I think she didn't know; the person in charge didn't really have enough English for this basic conversation. On the bright side the burgers are still really good.

So I can only attest to how the Manager treated me, which was extremely rude & unprofessional and profoundly disappointing (gentleman also had curls that were sticking out from his hat and not wearing a hair net…. Gross) I just asked for a big bag so that the MOBILE order could be “sealed” they actually had my customers order just sitting on the counter already getting cold. I have NEVER encountered this from the Quincy, Braintree and multiple Boston locations I have worked with. I asked for a bigger bag to place this order in & I guess they don’t do that here bcuz it didn’t have 5 or more items. This is an Uber/DoorDash/Grubhub type of order. It’s my understanding that these are supposed to be to be in “sealed” bags - WHICH IS FOR OUR MUTUAL CUSTOMER. Going forward I definitely will not utilize this franchise at this location in Waltham. I’ve never had/seen a manger argue with a delivery person over keeping a customers order safe/sanitary/tamper resistant. I will place my own tamper resistant tags. But please, save yourself some grace and go somewhere else.
