  They are letting some guy harass people entering and exiting the store, asking if you have national grid. Aug 27th around 6pm if corporate reads and cares. Probably selling solar or something. I cannot stand when stores support this tactic. Store should not allow 3rd party salesmen harassing all their customers. Man was very rude. If it continues I'll stop coming here. Honestly surprised there wouldn't be policies against it.

  Nice place. Well stocked. And clean for sure. Gets only a 3 star because there is a lady who works there, most likely a manager, who has been giving me an attitude(3rd time today) and I haven't said a word to her other than asking her politely for a scratch ticket a few days ago. When I asked,, she gave me a bitchy attitude telling me I'm gonna have to wait. I walked away! The attitude (2nd time by the way) is probably why i won't be going back. Today, she rudely told me to change to a different cashier. I'm thinking I must of done something but thank God the wonderful customer in front of me and said whats wrong with her? We had a quick conversation about it and she was completely agreeing with me the way asked was definitely not polite. I doubt I'll be returning. Not worth the aggravation. To bad, so convenient for me. It's all good though, Auclairs is down the street and the people there are so polite and cool.

  The Stop & Shop in Somerset is a large store. Stop & Shop is a lot like Publix grocery stores in Florida. Both of those companies stores are a bit higher priced than the local competition on everyday prices. However when they have sales they have excellent deals. The employees of both those company stores are nice and customer friendly. It seems that Stop & Shop, like Publix stores in FL hire people who have "challenges." For grabbing shopping carts and similar types of activities including bagging groceries. It is nice to see. Today, Friday, July 17, 2026 I got great deals on Polar 33.8 oz. bottles of flavored seltzer water. Along with a few other items. The only negative was the nice lady who bagged the groceries put too many Polar Seltzer bottles into the paper bag. It ripped open. No big deal but it was a negative. I shop there and will continue to do so.

  Somerset deserves a better grocery store, I wish they’d just go and Market Basket or some other grocery store would move in! The stuff they do is despicable like charging a guy $19 for a steak that’s supposed to be buy one and get one free seems to me that’s exactly what they wanted someone to do though! That’s why I don’t like them
