  The Soup Factory in Salem has been my favorite lunch spot for 15 years since I was a college student in Salem. The chicken stock is so rich and delicious and the daily specials are always amazing. The staff are always kind and helpful. This is my comfort place!

  if the mulligatawny was a permanent menu item i would be in here once a week minimum. such a delicious meal for a cold day! and under $10 you just can’t beat in downtown. everything else i’ve had here has been kind of underwhelming unfortunately. but the service was nice and it’s still a good option especially in the wintertime.

  I've stopped in here quite a few times and have no complaints. The soups are delicious and hearty! I really appreciate that the staff asks if you would like noodles added to the chicken soup, and if so how much. Also, the biscuit that pairs with the chicken pot pie soup is buttery and flaky goodness. Worth a try!

  Hands down the perfect place to grab some lunch on a cold or rainy day!! Would highly recommend the Lobster soup and the Clam Chowder. Both were excellent and the white bread served with them were soft and fresh (the perfect pairing!) Shop attendants were very nice and they will let you taste test a sample before you commit to choosing your flavor. Exactly what my husband and I were looking for on gloomy, wet day. 🧡

  Amazing place to go for a quick stop and good vibe, the workers were super helpful with my food allergies and sweet, would recommend and would eat here again!
