- JBJaxon BoydJul 11, 20261.0Papa John’s issue I ordered 2 pizzas online at 5:30pm, the ETA was 6:09-6:19pm. I attempted to call the store numerous times between 6:30-7:30pm, waiting on hold for over 35 minutes. I eventually called customer service and requested a refund as my order status was still showing “preparing”. I had to order pizzas from Dominos as I had workers and 2 children waiting to eat. At 9:20pm I received a text that my order would be delivered via DoorDash around 9:34pm. A driver showed up at 9:35pm and delivered 2 pizzas that looked like they had been sitting for hours. The cheese and crust were hardened, and the pizzas were barely above room temperature. I appreciate the gesture of still completing the order, and I understand that staffing challenges can pose operational issues. But, that doesn’t change the fact that Papa John’s issues turned into my issues and cost me additional money, inconvenience, disrupted my business’s break schedules, and left my children waiting hours to eat until I was able to take a break to order and pick up food from another business. I look forward to hearing from you. It should go without saying, but just to be absolutely clear, I am expecting a at the very least a full refund for the order and the tip I gave the DoorDash driver when he arrived with the cold pizzas, 4 hours after the order was place. *this complaint was filed with Papa John’s over 48 hours ago, and I haven’t heard anything from anyone. Quieter than crickets. Worst customer service of any company I’ve ever encountered. Clearly Papa John’s not only doesn’t care about staffing their locations, but they also couldn’t care less about customers.
