I placed a mobile order using 6,000 reward points for a Large Caramel Frappe last week on 5/4. I go inside to pick it up and the employee (estephany) notifies me that their machine isn’t working. I asked her if she can cancel my order so I can get my 6,000 points back because a refund for the price of the frap doesn’t equate the price of the 6,000 points I earned and redeemed. Without even listening or communicating with me, she proceeds to refunding me $5. I once again told her I wanted her to cancel the order not refund me because I used 6K points that doesn’t equate to $5, or I can pick it up when their machine is down. She told me I can come pick next week and tell them Estephany said I could get the frapp. I called 2 days ago, explained and they said absolutely I could, but their machine is still down. I call back again today, once again explained, and they said I could come and pick it up. I arrive there to pick it up just now and I am greeted with incredible amount of disrespect from a specific employee who’s name I do not know, but she had such a nasty confrontational attitude, declining me from getting the frap (even though I was told by multiple staff I still could) AND on top of her confrontational attitude, she blatantly lies to my face (!!!!!!!) saying that she was present for the initial conversation with Estephany and that Estephany never said yes to me LOL. After a customer is told yes to something and they leave the facility, and also told yes multiple times over the phone, it is not the customers responsibility what conversations are had after that. To me, I was told yes I could take the refund and pick up my frap. If that was changed, I was not notified of a change of mind not even 10 minutes before coming into get it. Keep in mind, I have been coming to this same McDonalds for probably a decade, the amount of money I have spent at this facility is SIGNIFICANT compared to one single frap.
