  I never write reviews. I had to download this app to write this review. And I’m sorry for the rant but I am like pretty upset right now. If you are the kind of person who prefers to order their groceries for pick up do not order from this Shaws. I moved to Taunton in January 2026 and I’ve been ordering groceries for pick up from this Shaws since then. Often times when I was putting my groceries away I would notice missing items ranging from 3 to 7 items each time. I would always say to my husband, “oh. I could’ve sworn I ordered that but it’s not here. I must not have added it to the cart right.” But I would move on and just stop at the store to grab the missing items. Well, I ordered groceries for pickup today and everything was fine until I started putting them away. I notice some items were missing. And not like a few things, it was a lot. 17 different items that cost me $56.96 to be exact. This is an eyebrow raising number of items to have mistakenly missed the add to cart button. So like any sane person, I checked my receipt. And wouldn’t you know. I DID add those 17 items to my cart. These items were not listed under “ substituted” or “out of stock”. No. They were listed as “shopped”. So that means whoever they had doing the shopping was either in training or just didn’t want to go get those items and listed them as “shopped” and moved on to the next order. So out of the 56 items I was charged for I only got 28 of them. That’s LITERALLY half my groceries. And the sick part is I can’t even I have no idea how many other times I blamed myself for the missing items when it was really Shaws who charged me for them and never gave them to me. With how many items have been missing in the last 10 months, I’d estimate at least a several hundred dollars. In a time where my budget is unimaginably tight, Shaws is lowkey stealing from me 😒. Safe to say I would rate it a zero if I could and I’m so upset about it I will likely never step into a Shaws again.

  Shopped here for many years. Lately have noticed a gigantic price markup as well as they no longer give you rewards based on recent purchases. I asked a manager, because I was surprised my phone number being entered did not reduce the price, to which he said that I must now download an app and create an account in order to continue getting the same deal I’ve had in place for 5+ years. I simply said “No I don’t use apps to shop; that’s unfortunate” to which he turned around and started speaking to another customer without completing our interaction. If I find another local option I will not be shopping here again.
