My family and I visited this store for routine grocery shopping.
During checkout, we interacted with a cashier named Ivy. When I politely asked a simple question at the register, the employee responded in a noticeably hostile and unprofessional manner. Her tone of voice became raised, and her facial expressions were disrespectful throughout the interaction.
At one point, the situation escalated to the point where we felt uncomfortable continuing at that register and decided to move to another checkout line in order to complete our purchase.
I also felt that there were inappropriate remarks made in a low voice in Chinese during the interaction, which added to the uncomfortable experience.
We did not expect special treatment—only basic professionalism and respectful customer service, which was not provided in this situation.
I hope the store takes customer service standards seriously so that all customers are treated with basic respect and professionalism.

I had a frustrating experience today. While checking out, I realized I had started the payment process without weighing my tomatoes. Since I didn’t know how to fix it, I politely asked one of the employees standing near the self-checkout for help.
Even though I explained the situation clearly, they repeatedly said “I don’t understand,” despite it being a simple issue. Eventually, they canceled the transaction with visible frustration and, in a rather rude tone, pointed at the screen and told me something along the lines of “You need to enter the tomato code,” instead of calmly explaining or assisting.
Employees are there to help customers when situations like this happen, and the attitude I experienced was unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional.

I visited this Stop & Shop (65 Newport Avenue, Quincy, MA 02171) and found salmon fillets in the seafood section that appeared to contain worms/parasites.
Products in this condition should not be offered for sale. This raises serious concerns about product quality and inspection standards.
I recommend that management review their seafood sourcing and handling processes to ensure customers are not sold compromised products.

produce is frequently moldy
produce constantly moves around so you always have to hunt down at least 1 or 2 items that have moved in the last week
aisles and register area are constrained by cluttered displays
somehow this is far from the worst stop and shop, but management should be ashamed of themselves if they think this should represent the industry leader in groceries.
Stop and Shop Quincy (North Quincy) location has much better of a variety of produce, fish, organic meats, then the one in Braintree.
