- JMJames MAug 3, 20261.0The self-check out registry printer at Star Market location in Quincy Center failed to print out my receipt due to a thermal paper roll jamming. A young female (asian) store attendant had arrived upon my request for help but was unable to resolve the issue by herself, hence she called another attendant (an older black lady) for further assistance whom seemingly more experienced. The younger store attendant took away all my merchandise that I’ve already paid for right upon arrival of the older attendant. Eventually, the older store attendant was able to reprint my receipt, but was a little bit rude by saying that ‘you should be patient’ in an authoritarian way once I reminded her that this was not my mistake at all. Once I got my receipt I had to proceed to the self-check out customer service desk to prove the younger store attendant that I paid full for my shopping by displaying the receipt. I also showed her my credit card transaction for this particular shopping via my online bank account to get my merchandise back. Overall, it was a worrisome experience to find myself in a situation to give an account for and prove the store attendants that I’ve already paid for all my shopping to get my merchandise back despite it was not my fault, but clearly stemmed from the Star Market store’s inability to duly provide a customer receipt due to probably their ancient registry equipment
