I visited Mirchi Nation for their Saturday lunch buffet with a couple of friends, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Personally, I won’t be returning.
To start with, most of the buffet items were empty for long periods. Refills were extremely slow—idly took around 20 minutes, noodles another 20 minutes, and several other dishes were either unavailable or delayed. When we asked the staff if they could inform us once items were refilled, they told us we had to keep checking ourselves, which felt dismissive and unhelpful.
The biggest issue, however, was the food quality. Almost every dish we tried lacked salt and had very little flavor. When I go to an Indian restaurant, I expect authentic taste—whether it’s a North Indian curry or a South Indian biryani, the balance of salt and spices is essential. Here, everything tasted bland.
We spoke to the manager about this, and the response was surprising. He mentioned that they adjust flavors based on the crowd rather than maintaining authentic taste. When we asked how a dish could be flavorful without proper seasoning, the response we received was defensive—essentially questioning why we were raising the concern at all.
Afterward, we quietly checked with a few other tables to see if it was just us. Every group we spoke to shared the same feedback: the food was under-seasoned and not flavorful, and they were not planning to return.
For almost $22-25, this was not worth it. I’m sharing this review to help others make an informed choice. If you prefer mild, low-salt, and less flavorful food, this place might work for you. But if you’re looking for authentic Indian flavors with proper seasoning and good service, this is not the place.
