  The most expensive of the chains by a nose over Shaws. If you stick to the often glitch-ridden self checkout it's an okay shopping experience. The few cashier checkouts open are usually clogged by challenged newcomers who have no idea how to expediently pay with any viable Earthly form of currency, causing boocoup chronic delays. More markdown & clearance items are desired, hint, hint. The AI robot will often dog you, trying to catch you shoplifting on video. The old freezer cases are often frosted over. Drug deals take place often in the parking lot, so pay attention.

  Went for a simple task of money order. Poor lady was dealing with a customer with a language barrier before me. So she ask for assistance from her fellow employees when the young man came over to help Instead of helping the next person in line!!!! He yell’s out anyone for lottery or scratch tickets come down. Then he does it again. when others were waiting patiently prior for a long time. She ask the gentleman to take the next person and to help out professionally and correctly by calling next in line but refused too! Lost a value costumer Not going back for any type of service, food shopping Or even DoorDash at that location. Poor customer service there

  Mixed review! I have not been in a stop & shop in probably a decade but the service walking in, the floral and front end staff all very friendly. I'd ordered cupcakes from the bakery and the woman there was so rude. We stood there for maybe 5 minutes while she went on about her day. Even a vendor who was stocking items near her told her 'hey you have customers' (in spanish) and she once again just kept working. My partner finally said 'hello excuse me' and she handed us the cupcakes right away, without us even saying our name or order. Very strange and unfriendly behavior. The cupcakes were absolutely scrumptious though.
