    Absolutely atrocious Bertuccis. They can’t even make an edible cheese pizza. Stay far far away from this place

    Pizza is a really hard food to mess up, and yet.... Let's think about it shall we? You have Doninos in this world. Domino's, like that's not great pizza but they are killing it with their business model. Papa Gino's, arguably better than Domino's and still out there doing there thing. You can go in a grocery store and buy Elio's! Elio's pizza! That pizza tastes only slightly better than the box it comes in, and rhat is still getting sold in stores. And then you have Beryucci's. This used to be one of the greats! One of the pillars of pizza history in the area and now look at it. It's little more than a dressed up Olive Garden but without the bread sticks or salad. Which means that it looks, feels, and tastes like abject depression. How sad is it? It's so sad that Wholefoods next door makes a more enjoyable slice these days. Wholefoods. Seriously. Who would have thought thirty years ago that a no nothing online book seller would sell you a better slice than the bastion of pizza culture that was Beryucci's once upon a time. But the sad thing about once upon a time is that it very rarely, if ever, truly has a happily ever after. In this case, that ever after has been wide scale corporate collapse as stores close, and quality is sacrificed for profits. I get it, we all need to make a buck but when it comes to pizza we want that buck to taste good. With gas prices being what they are, I can't suggest driving all fhe way across the parking lot when you can go to Wholefoods, and buy a pizza that's as good or better. And what you save in gas, you can use to buy a can of olives and put it in the middle yourself. At least that way you know it's organic. The rolls are absolutely on point though, but the rest of the place is dropping off. Pop in for lunch midweek if you want to have a place to question your life choices. The best dish here is the ever fading sense of nostalgia and of what once was.

    I am going to preface this by saying I used to work at the Bertucci's in Woburn (years ago) and I have loved this restaurant for over 30 years. Up until a few weeks ago, I would get their Broccoli, Ziti, Chicken every time I went or got take-out, and I've been pushing my wife to order often because every time I go the place seems empty and the various locations keep closing. They recently changed their menu and the Broccoli, Ziti, Chicken was absolutely gross. The new chicken was slimy, undercooked, and sparse (which ultimately is probably for the best). Also, my wife got the chicken parm, which she has always liked. It smells and tastes like vomit. Not an exaggeration. We basically just threw $70 away. This makes me so sad, but maybe it is time for this restaurant to close.
