  A large store with a good selection of product, the staff and managers are friendly and answer questions. The prices are decent, one of the better stores locally for prices. It is a well taken care of store.

  They leave up the "on sale" signs for items way past the sale date. Then they look at you like you're crazy when you ring it up and expect it to be for the listed price. No "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, it must have been an old sale that the sign was still up for." Just a "no it's not that price for real" and a blank stare as you walk out of the store. In Central Mass they would have given you the item for the price that was listed on the shelf. Just saying. That's been standard practice for years now. When you walk to the back of the store and see for yourself "this item has a 'for sale' sign on it, but it's not really on sale," you walk back to the cash register and give the item to the customer for the sale price and apologize for the inconvenience. Not look at them like they're insane for trying to buy an item at the price YOUR STORE told them it cost. At least an apology would have been nice. I had to change my entire plans for the day because I couldn't get what I needed for dinner.

  Stop and shop has all your needs,groceries, snacks,drinks,pre cooked foods,ice. Staff is very helpful and nice.

  I will never buy fish at Stop & Shop Hadley, MA. The old man digs out of his noise and then waits on the customers. What a turn-off. If he is the same one, this has been going on for years.
