  I purchased chicken salad from the deli at Stop & Shop and found a piece of what appeared to be a deli worker's glove mixed into the food. I still have the receipt and the product. I reported the issue, but was disappointed with how it was handled. The only resolution offered was a refund, despite the seriousness of finding foreign material in prepared food. I understand mistakes can happen, but I expected greater concern and a more thorough response regarding food safety. I hope Stop & Shop reviews its food handling procedures to prevent this from happening to other customers.

  I purchased a container of chicken salad from Stop & Shop and found what appeared to be a piece of a food-service glove mixed into the product. I still have the receipt, packaging, and product. While I understand that mistakes can happen, what was most disappointing was how the complaint was handled. I contacted the store and corporate customer service and was told that someone would follow up with me. No one ever did. The only resolution offered was a refund/double refund of the product. My concern was less about the cost of the chicken salad and more about the food-safety issue and understanding whether the matter was investigated. I am sharing this experience because I expected better communication and follow-through regarding a complaint involving a foreign object found in food.

  Stop& Shop has really come a long way and it's only a matter of time before the bucks start coming in. Fabulous service, and the prices came way down.
