  Its a normal supermarket. However, I worked in a grocery store, and I think someone has been working while sick withe flu/common cold. I cooked bought chicken nuggets, sushi, and a kami crab sushi bowl. Right after and while I ate it, my throat starting hurting. That night and the next day I am showing severe symptoms of the sickness. I definitely caught the cold from that place. If a worker is sick, they cannot be preparing food for people. At least make sure cooked (or ready to eat) food is being heated or coolded at the proper temperatures. I know many places are careless about this

  It’s really frustrating that there are often no shopping baskets available at the entrance. Finding a basket shouldn’t be this difficult at a grocery store.

  Hi! I was just at your store and there was a cart full of flowers that were getting thrown away. I asked your manager Patti if I could grab a couple (mind you these were flower almost fully dead) and she said no. I asked her “but your throwing them away, they can make someone happy” “No”. I do understand if you can’t give them away (dumb since you are THROWING them and not making money), but she could have been nicer. She needs a course on customer service skills.

  I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an incident that occurred at one of your Star Market locations on August 3, 2026, between approximately 3:40 PM and 4:00 PM. I visited the store to purchase dinner for my family. While shopping, I took a shopping cart that was sitting alone in an aisle next to a small basket. I had no idea the cart belonged to another customer. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, the store manager confronted me and ordered me to leave the store. Before I had an opportunity to explain what had happened, the manager called multiple security officers, treating me as though I had committed a crime. During this encounter, one of the security officers struck me and made a threatening remark. I was humiliated, intimidated, and treated with a complete lack of respect. I entered the store for the simple purpose of buying dinner for my daughters and my family, and I left feeling embarrassed and deeply distressed by the way I was treated. I respectfully request that Star Market conduct a thorough investigation, including reviewing all security camera footage from 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM on August 3, 2026, identifying the employees involved, and taking appropriate action. I also request a written response regarding the outcome of your investigation. No customer should ever be treated in this manner. I sincerely hope your company will take this complaint seriously and ensure that no one else experiences what I did. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

  I have no complaints about this store I have been a customer of theirs for years. I have had good shopping days and bad days ( long lines and items not restocked) but I understand it's a business and it's not perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful and that matters even if its very busy.
