- MMMichaelJul 5, 20261.0One star. This was not just slow service. It was a complete failure to manage a dangerous and disruptive situation. I entered the drive through at approximately 3:15 AM and did not reach the window until around 3:30 AM, even though there were only about three cars ahead of me. A vehicle entered from the wrong direction and stopped beside the customer at the window so the two parties could socialize. The music was extremely loud, the driver got out near the active drive through lane, and the vehicle remained facing directly toward me with very bright headlights shining through my windshield for roughly 10 to 15 minutes. I could not move forward because the line was stopped, and I could not back up because another vehicle was behind me. I was completely boxed in with no way to get away from the headlights or leave the situation. At 3:30 in the morning, customers have no way of knowing another driver’s intentions or whether a situation like this could escalate. The employee continued serving the customer and made no visible effort to clear the lane or address the disruption. I am not suggesting the employee should have physically confronted anyone, but he could have paused service, closed the window, contacted a manager, told the vehicles to move, or called police if they refused to leave the property. When I finally reached the window, he apologized for the wait. I asked what had happened, and he simply shrugged. When I asked why nothing was done, he gave me no answer. That lack of concern was the most disappointing part. The overnight shift carries a serious responsibility because unusual situations can become unsafe quickly, yet the customers waiting in line were left trapped while two people used the drive through as a personal meetup. Dunkin should review the security footage and drive through records from approximately 3:15 to 3:30 AM on July 5 and address how this was handled. I will not return to this location.
