The fries was way to salty over powering the blt sandwich was not cut all way through so it fell apart and it even tasted to salty never had it taste like that before long time customer and the bartender was not engaging and everytime I asked her for something she rolled her eye

I started working nearby, and after hearing it recommended a few times, I finally gave it a try. I'm glad I did. I ordered takeout, and the gentleman running the pizza shop was great—friendly, welcoming, and had that slightly gruff sense of humor that makes you feel like you've been coming there for years. The pizza was exactly what I was hoping for. The sauce, cheese, and crust were all well-balanced, so no one ingredient overpowered the others. Everything tasted fresh, and the crust had a nice texture without being too thick or too thin. The real surprise, though, was the fried pickles. They were outstanding. They have a light, seasoned flour coating instead of a heavy breading, which lets the pickle flavor shine through instead of getting buried. They're honestly my favorite fried pickles I've had locally so far. My next test will be the chicken wings, since that's usually my make-or-break menu item for a pizza place. Based on this first visit, though, I'm looking forward to working my way through more of the menu. There's a very good chance Dugout will end up replacing my current go-to pizza spot.
