I’ve never had a bad experience at Topgolf before. Every time I visit, the service is usually top-tier. Unfortunately, today was my first — and hopefully last — negative experience there.
Our reservation was for 9 PM for a party of six. Some members of our group were delayed because of a car accident on the highway, so we started later than planned. At first, our server, “Cyrus the Great,” told us there was nothing he could do about getting our lost time back, even after saying he had asked around. Thankfully, the manager, Bren, was very understanding and was able to accommodate us and restore some of our time due to the circumstances, which we really appreciated. Shoutout to Bren for going above and beyond.
Another major issue involved a gift card that my mother-in-law gave me in 2024. It was a gift card — not a coupon — and to my understanding, gift cards do not expire. Cyrus told me the card had expired and asked what year I received it. When I said 2024, he responded by asking, “What year is it now?” Thankfully, Bren stepped in and helped resolve the issue. It honestly felt like there was a lack of communication between Cyrus and management because we were being told completely different things depending on who we spoke with.
I want to give credit where it’s due: Bren was extremely helpful, patient, and kind throughout the entire situation. He answered all of our questions professionally and made an effort to fix the issues we experienced.
Even though today was disappointing, I would still recommend Topgolf to others because this has been my only bad experience there. Hopefully future visits will be back to the excellent standard I’ve come to expect.
Service ratings:
Cyrus: 1/5
Bren: 5/5
This review is not on topgolf but more specifically for Cyrus the great.
