I know Roccos opened very recently and living in Burlington I wanted to give this place a try. The interior was very nice but very cramped. We ordered 2 drinks, the table side guac, birria tacos, fish tacos, kids quesadilla and mexican street corn. The main dishes birria taco fish taco quesadilla and mexican street corn was excellent. Highly recommend these items. But the disappointment came from the drinks and the guac. I was super excited for the guac but it was so under seasoned and so bland. The amount of tomato onion cilantro and lemon used was so less it didnt give the kick or meet my expectation. Considering this is the first thing the server mentioned when we sat that we can get table side fresh guac made. That felt like a waste of money. I got jalapeno margarita and it had no salted rim or no taste of jalapeno. They did have one slice of jalapeno in there but the marg was just a regular margarita. Because it’s a very new restaurant I understand they are still trying to figure things out. But service was very slow. We got the guac made and had to ask for chips. We told the server for kids water and we had to wait a while for them to come with that

I was so excited to see this place opened up close to home in Burlington as I always LOVE going to their locations when I am in Florida. I sat at the bar eager to try their $5 happy hour tacos which they have advertised as every day at the bar 3pm-6pm. I ordered a cadilac margarita which was pretty good but when I asked about the tacos I was told they aren’t doing that special yet.. maybe next week. Strange to advertise a promotion that doesn’t exist yet but we let that go. I ordered a taco plate with two tacos served with rice and beans on their “handmade soft corn tortillas”.. I was pretty disappointed to receive an overcooked shrimp taco and small portion of fish on packaged corn tortillas. I would have ordered another drink with my meal but was never asked despite it not being busy. Their homemade hot sauces were absolutely delicious with a great balance of flavor and spice. The atmosphere is very beautiful with a big round bar and cool lighting and art. This wasn’t the great Rocco’s experience I am used to but I would try it again in few months once they work the kinks out.

The food was lacking. I do understand that they just opened this location and maybe they're still working things out so take my review however you will. For an app, we chose the Camarones Al Ajillo ($19). It was disappointing. It consisted of 6 corn tortillas and ~6 medium sized whole shrimp. The shrimp were served in a small bowl with a bit of broth? If you can call it that. The broth was pretty flavorless and had a teeny tiny bit of minced tomato and onion. NOT served with greens, lime wedge or other toppings. Now this is going to sound silly, but the Hot Honey Chicken Tacos (~$20) was honestly too sweet. The chicken was heavily breaded and fried on the darker side. It was topped with hot honey and what tasted more like canned sweet corn and if the avocado ranch was in there, it was minimal or overpowered by the sweetness of the honey and the corn. These tacos came with half of a lime wedge (you can barely see it in the image) and some greens on top, no side. The Crispy Fish Tacos ($23) were ok, nothing special. They had good crunch, but could have used more of the aioli. These did NOT come with a lime wedge or a side. We also ordered the Strawberry Basil and Black Diamond drinks. They were ok, but the Black Diamond was extremely weak and we honestly couldn't tell if it had any liquor at all.

My family and I visited the brand-new Rocco’s Tacos at the Burlington Mall last night. I usually wait a few weeks after a restaurant opens so they can work out the kinks, but the buzz was so strong we couldn’t hold out any longer. The vibe, food, and overall experience not only matched the hype, they exceeded it. The hostesses were lovely and accommodating, and we were seated in a really comfortable large booth. The entire décor was spot-on. Our server, Yani, was enthusiastic and incredibly helpful guiding us through the menu for our first visit. The nachos were such a hit that I couldn’t even get a photo before my sons dove in. At Yani’s recommendation, two of us ordered the Rocco Rita and declared it the best margarita they’d ever had. The flautas and tacos everyone ordered were fresh and full of flavor. I was especially grateful they offered a simply grilled option, I went with the chicken, served with avocado and a baked sweet potato. I usually avoid Mexican restaurants because it’s hard to stay on a clean-eating track, so this was a very welcome surprise. To top off a perfect meal and service experience, Rocco himself came over to greet us, make sure everything was to our liking, and even posed for a photo. Shortly after, Joe Caridi, the director of hospitality, also stopped by to check that we were delighted with our first Rocco’s experience. We will definitely be back. ¡Excelente!!

I want to start off by saying the servers are amazing and very friendly but save your money and eat anywhere else. The food on the other hand was extremely disappointing. Not only do you pay for chips but it’s their take on almost a Dorito-like chip but tasted burnt. I got the chicken enchiladas and the chicken had absolutely no seasoning and was dry. There was barely any sauce on them and they were essentially two dry plain chicken wraps with cheese. Rice tasted just ok and beans tasted like they were from a can. Definitely not worth the money and will not be coming back. The decorations are pretty but the entire restaurant was extremely loud and blasting 2000’s pop for some reason. Felt like a club in there not a sit down restaurant. They also had a bunch of people with no uniform or name tag (or anything indicating they worked there) wandering around picking up plates and interjecting in the middle of meals. That part just felt very strange to me as I was being approached by numerous random men while trying to eat (but they were, I believe, managers of some sort). Please have them introduce themselves first to make it less creepy. They also seem to prioritize fitting as many tables as possible over patron comfort. The tables are so close together the servers were bumping into my chair and back all night while I was trying to eat. Definitely not authentic food at all and extremely gentrified. Seems like a good place to grab drinks but don’t eat here.
