We visited Vaanga yesterday, and while the place itself has a few things that could be improved—it’s a small space with only a few tables, the table fan was quite noisy, and the menu board was awkwardly placed and difficult to read—the food absolutely made up for it!
The ordering experience could also have been smoother. The person taking our order wasn’t very familiar with what was still available or the portion sizes for items like samosa and vada pav, which made it difficult to decide what else to try.
But the person packing the food was running the show! She was incredibly fast and efficient.
We ordered the Indo-Chinese vegetable noodles, vegetable fried rice, and vada pav. Everything was really good—amazing flavor and perfect portions. The portions were generous enough that even two main dishes were more than enough for our family of four, with leftovers!
We actually wanted to order more, but the person at the front wasn’t very helpful with recommendations or availability.
Overall, the food is definitely worth coming back for. We will absolutely visit Vaanga again the next time we’re in Boston. 🍜❤️
The food and service were excellent. The staff was friendly, and the food was really delicious.
However, the restaurant itself needs improvement. The place was not very clean, and the AC was not working, making it very hot and uncomfortable to eat inside. The drinks were not cold enough, and there was very poor ventilation with almost no airflow.
If they improve the cleanliness, fix the AC, and provide better ventilation, the overall dining experience would be much better.

Service is worst. Employees here don't serve food on time. We have to wait for 30 min. They are rude and careless. Plus the prices are above average for the quality.
Everything is very oily.

Had a wonderful experience at Vaanga in Bellingham! The food was delicious, especially the chaat, samosas, and gol gappa—they were full of flavor. The staff was also incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Indian street food and friendly service, I highly recommend giving Vaanga a try!
I have travelled around several countries in Europe and the US, and this is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to.
We ordered sambar rice and vada. The vada was sour, which made me think they had used spoiled batter. It also tasted like it had been fried in old oil. The sambar was nothing like authentic sambar—it was more like an extremely spicy chilli curry.
On top of that, the prices are outrageously high for the quality of the food.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Please don't waste your time or money by going here.
