My wife and I went to celebrate our 11 years together and the experience was dull. It was not what I expected it to be when I heard about a “nice steakhouse” in Boston. During the reservation or time there we were never asked if we’re celebrating anything special. The experience was dull because for an 11 year anniversary we got a 2 seater booth next to a damn bar not even a nice table. I had the exact same experience at Harvard Gardens and saw nothing different. Our server and the service was great as should one expect with a high end restaurant. Steaks were not out of this world to be costing $100+ especially the Wilshire NY strip and no sides… It’s unfortunate because I had so much high expectations especially being in the heart of downtown Boston.

Dinner at Abe & Louie’s absolutely lived up to the hype. The steak was cooked perfectly with an incredible char and flavor, and every side dish felt like it could’ve been the star of the meal on its own. The hash browns were unreal, the mac and cheese was rich and crispy on top, and the green beans were simple but done perfectly. The oysters Rockefeller and French onion soup were also standout starters. The whole experience felt classic Boston steakhouse in the best way possible. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and a meal that felt worth every calorie. Easily one of the best steak dinners we’ve had in the city.

Our first time in boston and we chose to eat at abe and louies as our first steakhouse in boston and it did not disappoint. We had a reservation but still had to wait for a table for quite some time but once we were seated the service was amazing we had an older gentleman as our server and he was wonderful. Our food so delicious we got a crab cake for our appetizer and a abes house salad and a wedge salad to start all three were on point and for our mains we both did the 12oz filet mignon mine with the blue cheese fondue and omg they were so tasty and delicious I definitely love abe and louies and highly recommend it if you can afford the hefty price tag lol. To finish the night we did get a vanilla creme brulee to take home they did surprise us by taking off the appetizer and drinks since we waited so patiently for our table for awhile they definitely didn't have to do that it was a nice surprise.

We visited for a graduation celebration and the atmosphere was really nice. Some of the food was excellent, but unfortunately my steak was disappointing. I ordered it medium to medium-well, and it came out well done and very dry. For the price, I expected much better. What made it more frustrating was that our server never checked on the table to ask how the meal was, otherwise I would have mentioned it at the time.

My date brought me here to dine while on my trip in Boston. Personally, I loved it. The establishment was gorgeous and service was impeccable. Definitely dress up to come here, I wish I did. I believe Tim was my server. He was well knowledgeable with the menu items and had a great personality. My martini was delicious and strong. My NY strip was savory and made to perfection which was nicely paired with some au poivre. My date wasn’t too crazy of his mignon, but it wasn’t a deal breaker since he finished it all. We shared two sides and finished off with the crème brûlée. Our server checked on us constantly which was highly appreciated. The dessert was nicely presented to the table with whip from a separate silver container. Loved it and would definitely recommend, glad my date took me here
