I have a realistic expectation when it comes to ordering from McDonald's. I don't expect the best service or top-tier food, but I do expect there to be reliable service and to at least get what I paid for. For the second time in a month, my coworker and I placed an order through the mobile app to pick up through the drive thru. And for the second time in a month, we were told to pull forward into a drive-thru waiting space and were promptly forgotten about. Both times, we have had to go back into the restaurant after waiting at least 20 minutes to remind them about our missing food only to be told that something we ordered--ice cream, a milk shake, cookies, something different every time--was unavailable, and nothing was offered in its place as a substitution. We've had to ASK to be given something else of the same value. Meanwhile, the rest of our food gets cold, soggy, and overall unappetizing because we're waiting 30 minutes for our order. I understand that things run out or machinery breaks down--I am willing to be flexible with staff for that. But every time I order something? And on top of that, the food that we do get is incorrect, missing cheese or condiments, and the fry boxes are half-full. Perhaps the staff and management at this location on St. Claude need additional customer service, supply ordering, and machine maintenance training. Even though it's less than a mile away from our workplace, my coworker and I will not be returning to this location.
