Music was great! We ate out on the patio, service was good. I would say the food was average however. Was hoping for some spice in my jambalaya.

Toller Abend mit Sons of Legion im HoB New Orleans. Super organisiert toller Ort und super Service an den Bars. 5 Sterne sind nicht genug.

Long waits for no reason. Overworked staff not available to assist in a timely fashion. No info on VIP upgrades until it is too late ... I could go on but I'll stop there. The actual concert space is fabulous but before and after is awful.

My experience at House of Blues New Orleans was beyond disappointing—it was flat-out bad customer service from start to finish. We were seated and waited over 20 minutes with no one coming to our table—not for drinks, not for food, nothing. Meanwhile, other tables that were seated after us were fully served before anyone even acknowledged we were there. That alone set the tone. We were eventually told we had to go to the bar ourselves just to place an order. After doing that and explaining no one had helped us, the bartender reluctantly took our order. About 20-30 minutes later, my niece received her seafood pasta, which she said was good—but my food never came, 30 minutes still waiting. I waited 45 minutes, asked about it, and was told “5–6 more minutes.” That time came and went—still nothing. It took a busser noticing the issue and stepping in to get answers before my food finally showed up. By then, I had completely lost my appetite and asked for my check. Our waitress, Brittany, never once came to properly check on us—even after the first round of food came out. Yet I clearly saw her actively checking on and interacting with other tables around us, which made the lack of attention to our table even more noticeable and frustrating. Instead of taking accountability, the waitress brought the bill with only a 20% discount and never once escalated the situation to a manager on her own. The busser had to do that too. That says a lot. To make matters worse, the atmosphere already felt off. The vibe leaned heavily country/jazz, and my niece and I were the only people of color in the area we were seated in. Watching others be served quickly while we were overlooked didn’t sit right, and it definitely heightened the frustration. My niece—who is a news reporter in New Orleans—was completely baffled by how poorly everything was handled. This wasn’t just slow service—it was disorganized, dismissive, and uncomfortable. Definitely not a place I’d return to after this experience. Our waitress name was Brittany, a total mess!

omg, what a disaster. visited this restaurant 1 year ago and then everything was perfect, good well-cooked food and excellent service. What we first ordered was cancelled 10 minutes later, unclear why. What we ordered instead was hardly human food but should have been thrown away or given to some abandoned dogs. Very sorry for the waitress who had only worked there 1 week, she had to apologize time and time again for the restaurant's mismanagement of both the food and the restaurant's guests. Never again HoB New Orleans.
