- DJDustin JacksonJun 3, 20261.0As a delivery driver who picks up from restaurants across New Orleans every day, the Chipotle on Magazine Street has consistently been one of the most frustrating locations I visit. I’ve picked up from this location dozens of times over the past several months, and the problems are not isolated incidents, they are a pattern. Orders are frequently delayed, customers and drivers are left waiting, and there often appears to be little urgency to get orders out on time. The biggest issue is leadership. I’ve repeatedly observed employees standing around, using their phones, or appearing disengaged while orders continue to pile up. Strong managers set expectations, keep employees focused, and make sure the operation runs efficiently. That level of accountability seems to be missing here. What makes this even more noticeable is the difference between this location and the Freret Street Chipotle. The Freret location is generally more organized, more professional, and much more efficient. Delays at a restaurant don’t just affect customers, they affect delivery drivers’ ability to earn a living. Every unnecessary wait means lost time and lost income. Chipotle has built a strong brand, but this location is not meeting that standard. Corporate should take a serious look at the management and overall operations of this store because significant improvements are needed. Customers deserve better, drivers deserve better, and Chipotle’s reputation deserves better.
