Cafe Beignet on Decatur is one of those spots you end up randomly stopping at and actually enjoying. The beignets were fresh, soft, and covered in powdered sugar just how they should be. I liked the atmosphere too — busy but still relaxed, with that classic French Quarter feel. Perfect little stop for coffee and people watching while walking around New Orleans.
Stopped here for breakfast. Coffee and Fruit Scone were very nice however, the Southern Breakfast was average.
Service wasn't the best, especially as most places we've been in the US have provided good services.
Seating while I appreciate is part of the look was very uncomfortable.
beignet was AMAZING. definitely lived up to the hype. coffee was not as great. my latte had a bunch of coffee dust at the bottom so either it was instant coffee or improperly brewed/filtered espresso grounds, neither of which are desirable of a proper cafe.

My family and I were visiting New Orleans and found this place, and it ended up being a great stop. The food was really good and the atmosphere had that authentic New Orleans feel.
What really made the experience stand out though was our server, Will. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out right. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and that kind of service makes a big difference.
If you come here, definitely ask for Will.

Loved the light, bright and airy ambiance with live music for lunch. Order at the counter. We ordered the muffaletta which was tasty with just the right amount of meat and olive salad. Also, had the crawfish etouffee without rice, it was chock full of crawfish in a thick, flavorful stew. The herb butter French bread served with it was the perfect accompaniment. We also shared an order of beignets, which were large, dense and delicious.
