Cafe
Our coffee is sourced locally from roasters with over 30 years of experience roasting their own blends. Café Beignet is proud to continue the tradition of serving Chicory Coffee, first introduced by the French to New Orleans when it was still a colony of France. Chicory is a plant that is roasted through a similar process as coffee beans. Coffee and chicory are grounded separately and then combined, resulting in a most unique taste. New Orleanians have developed a love for its bolder flavor and we hope you will too!
Since 1990, Café Beignet has four locations in the French Quarter with another on the way. Each of our locations offers something unique to its visitors, including live jazz, cocktails, outdoor seating (with pet friendly areas), and classic New Orleans dishes to complement our beignets.
With an abundance of local flavors, you will find only the best in food and drinks at Café Beignet!

To be honest, my 2 starts review is mostly based on the customer service. I believe that Café Beignets gets a lot of advertising everywhere. Since the moment you land, you see them everywhere and that's probably why they think that great customer service isn't important. We went to the one located on Canal Street by the Sheraton and there were probably 10 team members. All of them look miserable. Smiling seems very hard. Now the beignets were good but not as good as café du monde. I am not promoting Cafe du Monde customer service here. Both of them need to appreciate their customers in my opinion.

The place is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the beignets didn’t seem fresh—they tasted a bit stale. The staff also came across as somewhat standoffish and not very welcoming, which took away from the overall experience. I ordered my beignets to go, but they weren’t even placed in a bag, which was disappointing and felt like an oversight. I had higher expectations and hope they improve both the freshness of the food and the overall customer service.

Not what we expected. We were looking for a nice sit-down table service breakfast nook with a comfortable New Orleans atmosphere. This is a place designed to get you in and out quickly. The chairs are made of thick wire and dig into your back like it's telling you to get off of me. Food is ordered at the counter and comes with plastic everything. Even the paper plates and cups have plastic in them so they don't get soggy. The plates are small so the food is packed on and you are eating with flimsy plastic ware which makes the whole experience a chore. We split a mostly bacon bits with a few mushrooms omelet that the two of us didn't finish cause it was not good. I opened it to search for the little bit of swiss cheese promised. The bread was stale and awful. There are dozens of better places for breakfast in the area. But if you want a quick run of the mill coffee to go this is your place. Please turn off the player piano it is too early for such nonsense.

I visited this Cafe Beignet location right on the corner, and it was a fantastic experience! The beignets here are excellent—very solid, fluffy, and noticeably bigger than the ones you get at other places. The absolute best part was the atmosphere; they have live jazz music playing right in the morning, making it the perfect lively company for a relaxed brunch. Highly recommend this corner spot if you want great pastries paired with classic New Orleans morning vibes!

The beignets were absolutely incredible! Fresh, warm, light, and perfectly covered in powdered sugar, they practically melted in my mouth. Every bite was delicious, and it’s easy to see why they’re so popular. The flavor and texture were perfection. If you’re visiting, do yourself a favor and order the beignets—you won’t regret it. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had
