About

Cafe
Our coffee is sourced locally from roasters with over 30 years of experience roasting their own blends. Café Beignet is proud to continue the tradition of serving Chicory Coffee, first introduced by the French to New Orleans when it was still a colony of France. Chicory is a plant that is roasted through a similar process as coffee beans. Coffee and chicory are grounded separately and then combined, resulting in a most unique taste. New Orleanians have developed a love for its bolder flavor and we hope you will too! Since 1990, Café Beignet has four locations in the French Quarter with another on the way. Each of our locations offers something unique to its visitors, including live jazz, cocktails, outdoor seating (with pet friendly areas), and classic New Orleans dishes to complement our beignets. With an abundance of local flavors, you will find only the best in food and drinks at Café Beignet!

I had got two chocolate milks and one regular milk. They put it in a cup and put syrup in it for the chocolate milk and it’s five dollars for each one it’s crazy and then the beignets wasn’t even that good.

The place looked clean even with birds flying in I enjoyed the live music and the wait staff seemed to be rushing me and other people on line. Even when I said I'm looking at the menu and I don't want a drink I kept getting asked. Then when I made an order of beignet, it didn't taste fresh and it wasn't even hot, with a little bit of sugar on it. For $5 plus tax you would think a place named cafe beignet, that would be the all star on the menu. Try for yourself and see but definitely for other tourist, maybe try somewhere else or you may have a better experience than me.

Food was ok. I got the catfish and grits, came in a kid sized plastic bowl, my husband had the andouille omelet, he hated it and he usually likes anything with sausage. Coffee was bitter. Its a cafe so I get its supposed to be casual dining but this is less than casual.

IN A CITY FULL OF EXCELLENT FOOD, ONE SHOULD PROCEED IN ANY DIRECTION TO FIND SOMETHING MUCH, MUCH,MUCH BETTER!!!! This is actually for the other location, just south of this one, but it does not appear online. After a relatively pleasurable experience this morning. We returned for a night snack. The cashier with no eyebrows was above RUDE! Our order was incomplete. And our food was subpar. My bread was so stale. I think it was cooked before I got to New Orleans last week. Our fries were not salted at all. And ingredients came on sandwiches that were not listed on the menu (mayonnaise). We will not return. If you do Take out from this location check your order !!!!!!! They don’t care !!!!!
