Our coffee is sourced locally from roasters with over 30 years of experience roasting their own blends. Café Beignet is proud to continue the tradition of serving Chicory Coffee, first introduced by the French to New Orleans when it was still a colony of France. Chicory is a plant that is roasted through a similar process as coffee beans. Coffee and chicory are grounded separately and then combined, resulting in a most unique taste. New Orleanians have developed a love for its bolder flavor and we hope you will too!
Since 1990, Café Beignet has four locations in the French Quarter with another on the way. Each of our locations offers something unique to its visitors, including live jazz, cocktails, outdoor seating (with pet friendly areas), and classic New Orleans dishes to complement our beignets.

Spicy bloody Mary is yummy only wish they offered more fixins because I'm not a fan of olives but the bartender did put extra green beans on mine which I enjoyed.

Outdoor seating was plenty and not a long wait for food. Highly recommend the crawfish omelette! They also have love music which is a vibe.

Seems like a joint on Bourbon that’s literally named after the pastry should have a better pastry and a better cup of coffee. Also, the largest coffee they have is like a medium anywhere else. You think after someone’s been up late drinking they only want a medium coffee.

They reminded me of a funnel cake but in pastry form, and considering I love funnel cakes, I enjoyed them. The area did kind of smell like trash, but I’m finding that might just be a New Orleans thing. I would like to try beignets from a few other places around the city to get a better perspective on the quality and taste, especially since these were my first.

Our beignets are fried in soybean oil. They contain dairy and are not gluten-free.
Do you accept reservations?
No. Due to a quick overturn, we are unable to accommodate reservations.
Can you accommodate my allergies?
Due to our shared kitchen and some prepared bases for dishes, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment at any location.
If you have a seafood allergy, please make sure you alert us upon ordering. Beignets on Royal St., Canal St. & Decatur St. are safe from seafood as we do not fry seafood at those locations. However, we cannot guarantee the same at Bourbon Street. Please exercise caution.
Can I call in orders of beignets to-go?
We accept pre-orders for pickup if you are buying 20 orders of beignets or more.
Are we pet-friendly?
Yes! Each location has an outdoor area where pets are welcome to join you.
