  We come here over the years my son loves chargrilled oysters, Alfredo pasta and brownie à la mode. Today we came in for his graduation. First impression there was no greater at scene however we didn’t wait long time. She arrived few minutes later she did greet us with a smile ✅ we were not asked our prefer seating ❌. Server arrived with a plate of bread I’m not sure if it was the table steps so I will not add my personal opinion on that. She took our drink orders and we placed our chargrilled oysters. She fallowed the special instructions and made sure oysters cooked to perfection as we requested. ✅ I see the deal for Tuesday which is 10$ off on seafood platter. I asked questions about it and she helped us to understand with her cheat sheet ✅ we have also ordered Alfredo pasta with crawfish in stead of shrimp with no green garnish on it it arrived with some parsley flakes so I’m not sure if it got picked out afterward ❌ . We added two seafood gumbos for additional 5$ which sounded like a great deal ✅ Everything was fine up until then. Things we didn’t enjoy our dinner firstly we were served two seafood platter neither came with any sauce on the side. No cocktail or tartar sauce. Our gumbo tasted very off nothing like homemade but packaged grocery store gumbo. It was very loose and watery color was almost darkest brown or black barely even anything in it to hold Gumbo thick as it supposed to. ❌ Cole slaw comes with plate was very sour and bitter in flavor. We waited for our server to come for 2 Minute 2 bite she was no show. We kept waiting to see if wage would Come but she didn’t come check on our food. Luckily the hostess was passing by so I got her attentions and asked if we were supposed to served sauces with it. She was very friendly, and helpful. Server came back with about 10 sauces at the table all we needed one of each for each plate anyways she brought refill for the drinks and left again for some time still not checked on food ❌. Meanwhile I see hostess walked behind our booth with a hammer and hammered down the tables or chairs I don’t know she was fixing something’s which was very awkward noise during our graduation dinner. ❌ next the server on our across station came by our section and by our booth and start sweeping the floor next to our food. ❌ that point I lost my appetite. ❌❌❌ Server was still not on scene hasn’t stopped by to our table so I raised my hand hoping someone would acknowledge and bring us bill or Togo bags. The lady who arrived I think she was the manager . She told me her name but I forgot she was blonde very nice lady and I told her we did not care for the soups or slaws. She was sure asked what was wrong with it with her good intentions very respectfully. ✅she did ask if we would like to replace it with another soup or appetizer ✅ She did say she would take care of it and she did ✅ while the manager was on our table the server finally arrived we asked for Togo boxes they bring me to check yes she did comped 20$ for the soups and coleslaw but I have noticed I was charged my Seafood plates from the regular price instead of dismounted Tuesday price they were 34.95$ instead of 24.95$. ✅ Food overall was good really enjoyed it our food was fresh and hot. Catfish was cooked to Perfection. Fries so delicious and cooked into perfection. We weren’t able to eat the rest of our food due other circumstances but we made it Togo. So I give 50%50% we Place wasn’t busy there was another table besides us only .with the discounts my bill Was still 120$ two adults and a teenager but service from the server(s) definitely didn’t make it special for us. I believe no bad feedback and hoping there would be some training occurs for a positive turn over.

  Spectacular! The stuffed shrimp was amazing and so were the crab cakes! My girlfriend recommended me this place and she was right.

  Only giving it a 1 because the waitress did her best but still should have known. My husband and I ordered a seafood platter, and was served with hardly anything on the plate. It looked Like a child’s seafood platter. But..didn’t know. Cut the stuffed shrimp in half to share and was rancid. Called the waitress and explained. She agreed about the amount on the platter but still served it. Put the rancid stuffed shrimp on a napkin and haven’t to her separately to give to the manger. She came and back and stated the they would give us a new platter. Starving.. we accepted. The new platter looked like it came from a different restaurant. lol. In the mean time, we kept Smelling something sour and it was a couple in front us us complaining about their gumbo . Shame on don’ s seafood. They will Give someone food poisoning. Where is the quality control team before serving? The waitress Apologized and states that they were busy and short handed. NO EXCUSE. Close it Before someone gets really sick. It’s been a year since we have been there and wanted to try it again. DON’T!!!!!!!! They don’t care.

  recently had lunch at Don's Seafood in Metairie and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience, especially compared to how I remember it years ago. I ordered the redfish, which was $37, and the portion was surprisingly small for the price. More concerning, the quality just didn't match expectations. The gumbo had a noticeably strange flavor—almost off—which made it hard to enjoy and raised questions about freshness or preparation. This used to be a place known for dependable, flavorful Cajun seafood, but this visit felt like a step down in both quality and value. For the price point, I expected much More.
