  Music inappropriate and too loud. Too much salt. Inedible for ones with even borderline high blood pressure.

  My wife and I decided to stay in Lafayette for the night and this place was across from our hotel. Since it was within walking distance we gave it a shot. We probably should have looked at the reviews first. Service was excellent - Amelia our server was great, took our orders quickly, and was just great all around. The problem was the food. My hamburger was overdone- the patty was black and it wasn't from blackening spices. The patty was cooked too long and tasted burnt. I ordered a Caesar salad that was completely over dressed to the point that I couldn't eat it. My wife's salad was lacking and didn't have much apart from shaved Brussels sprouts and romaine lettuce. Too bad. Great ambience in the place, friendly staff but they dropped the ball with the food, which was surprising given that it didn't seem like a very busy night for them.

  We decided to leave a review primarily because of the $200 we spent on this meal. To start with the positives, the service was friendly and attentive, and the drinks were well-made and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. We ordered the scallops, filet, and lobster ravioli, and none of the dishes met expectations. The filet lacked seasoning and seemed to be of poor quality. The scallops had an unpleasant texture and flavor that made them seem less than fresh. It didn’t seem like the dish contained real scallops. Across the board, the food was served cold and had a similar, off-putting odor. Overall, while the service and drinks were highlights, the quality of the food did not justify the price, and the experience was far from what we expected.

  We don't go out to eat much any more mainly due to experiences like this one. The server was friendly and said several times she wanted to make sure we were happy with what we order. We started with drinks and bang bang shrimp which was good. It went downhill from there. My wife's lobster was under cooked and cold. My Mai Mai was chewy and a little warm. au gratin potatoes were the worst I ever tasted and cold, While we waited for our server to check on us, all of our food got cold. When she returned, she brought better lobster but by then, we kind of lost any interest in eating. The bill was $170 and it will be a long time before I eat here again. Which I had a better review to leave but recommend to anyone else to stay away.
