  Was eating dinner last night the food was great. The service was great except for the customer that was complaining her steak had too much fat after she ate her whole steak and the server came to the table multiple times to check on them. She then decided to threaten the owners with a review. If they didn’t do anything about it, the owners were put in a bad situation. They handled it the best way they could. It was unfair. Some people shouldn’t come out and eat.:-( October 22,2026

  Unacceptable Treatment at Marlie's on October 22, 2026 I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding an incident I witnessed at Marlie's restaurant on the evening of October 22, 2026. During my visit, I observed two ladies and a young man who were dining there on steak night being treated in an unacceptable manner by the owner, Cory Barton. I witnessed the young man trimming excessive fat from his steak, which my steak was also quite fatty. However, after observing the altercation that followed, I felt compelled to remain silent. Mr. Barton approached the table and spoke to one of the ladies in a humiliating manner. Shortly thereafter, he returned to the table accompanied by his associate, Micah. They proceeded to yell at the lady in front of a room full of customers, instructing her not to return to "his restaurant." As a frequent patron of Marlie's, I was appalled by the lack of respect and professionalism displayed by the owners. No customer should have to endure such treatment while dining out. Due to this incident, my family and I have decided that we will no longer patronize Marlie's. I believe it is essential for restaurant management to foster an environment of respect and courtesy towards all customers. I hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and lead to improvements in customer service.

  This was an awesome place to stumble upon in the middle of French Settlement. Our server Miranda was exceptional: I ordered a small dinner hoping to try the bang bang shrimp as my one main item on the plate, per the menu. Though technically not an option she suggested a way to try another way with popcorn shrimp and the bang bang sauce on the side. Seldom do you meet servers readily skilled to read between the lines and help make things happen. Aside from that, portions of food had the full trifecta of being flavorful, generously portioned, and very little wait. NO ONE in our party left pur table with space in our bellies for even an echo. The atmosphere was lively but didn't coerce is into screaming over the table t speak to each other either. It's always a gambit when trying a place you haven’t stepped in before, but when discovering a place this good, it makes for an awesome day and an eager hope foe the day we return for another visit!

  I guess that with all the 5star ratings, we must have caught them on a bad day. Chicken tenders were too dry and stringy to eat. I think the tenders were overcooked. These might have tasted good but I couldn't eat them. Fries were good though.
