- AWAshley WashingtonAug 22, 20261.0My husband, who is Black, and I visited STIR, and unfortunately, we felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. When we walked in, the employee stood at the register looking at us without greeting us or asking for our order. After waiting a couple of minutes, I finally had to ask whether she was ready to take it. Throughout our visit, we noticed customers staring at us and making faces, and the employees were not friendly or welcoming. As an interracial couple, the entire atmosphere made us feel as though we did not belong there. Regardless of what anyone intended, that was the impact of our experience. We will not be returning because no customer should leave a coffee shop feeling judged or unwelcome.

I returned today to explore the menu and to sit, and this coffee is fantastic! If you haven’t been by Stir it’s a must. Six stars
