We went for the first time for lunch after Sunday church - family of 4 with two young teenagers.
The food was delicious, and the people working the counter were extremely helpful and understanding with it being our first visit. We even got to meet the new manager-in-training - great guy!
Cava works much like your favorite burrito shop - pick a base of salad or pita, add a rice, lentils, or various forms of greens if desired, pick a protein (regular chicken is no cost), then all the other toppings are free like olives, slaw, tomatoes, and much more. Pick a dressing or dip, and you're done!
The food was delicious. Mom and Dad got salad bases with chicken, rice, cucumbers, olives, feta, and Greek vinaigrette. And the teens got pitas with meat and nothing else - typical.
Our first visit was more expensive than expected because we didn't know our way around the menu. (For example, my daughter got half lamb, half steak, and was charged full price for both, making her pita almost $19.). Like I said, if you don't want to splurge, go for the regular chicken. Or if you're just looking for a little something extra, the spicy chicken for an extra $1 or so is worth every penny!
They even have fountain Mexican Coke and Mexican Diet Coke (I didn't even know the diet was a thing!)
I also hear the pita chips are also delicious - we didn't get them this time, but next time!
Overall, very clean, friendly, delicious place to eat in a convenient spot next to Alexander's supermarket. We will be visiting again now that we know how good it is!
