Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
We don’t live in this area but come to town here several times a month. This is the 3rd time we’ve eaten at this Whataburger in a 12 month period and once again we’ve had a pleasant experience at this location. My husband would eat Whataburger for every meal except for the fact that I’m not a big fan based on bad experiences at other locations over the years. We have always had a great experience at this location. The store is really clean! You can tell the tables were recently wiped and cleaned, the floors were free or food debris and other trash, and both the ladies and the men’s restrooms were cleaned and smelled nice. Most restaurants don’t even bother with clearing and cleaning tables or the dining room anymore. With automated ordering it’s like they don’t care to clear and clean anything anymore. I didn’t even mind having to wait for the counter person to put the drink spouts back on the drink machine because she had actually taken them off to CLEAN them. Her name was Erica and she was so friendly! She smiled and would look you directly in the eyes when she was talking to you. I didn’t get the young man’s name who brought our food out to us, but he also was very friendly. The food was fresh and freshly made with perfect seasoning

On 6/9/26, I needed to place 4 separate take out orders. I went in a little early because I figured it would take time for the cashier to understand my orders and then more time to get them filled.
I never had to repeat what I wanted. Then I figured the orders would be wrong. Each order was not only correct but done in a timely manner.
I've been to a lot of fast food places and this was one of the best and well organized. The cashier Madison C never made me feel like I needed to hurry. I wish I'd got the names of the ones who brought the food out. They were on top of their game.
Also, the lady that came with me also had really good service.
