- LWLaVera Wilson4 days ago5.0Greens..sweet potatoes..cabbage..green beans was great..mac n cheese TOO much cheese for me..catfish was cooked fresh and was moist...just didn't care for coating but that's just me as not a fan of corn meal breading...servers were excellent..happy and very attentive and QUICK to get what asked for...missed music as had to leave as 1st father's day without dil dad and they were playing dance with my father by luther...next time will get food to go...wings etc..my sons were juicy

Immediately we went to the hot bar and was greeted in seconds, We asked what was the specials and was given a rundown on Saturdays menu. Me and hubby got the brisket and OMG TO DIE FOR!! Portion size huge enough to have leftovers. Mac and cheese and green beans and corn muffin delicious!! I love the new space and the bar option. Congrats to you so and KEEP SHINING!! Price point was not a factor we got desserts and fed an extra person… between all that IT WAS WORTH OUR MONEY!!

The tvs and music playing added to the experience of being in a soul food restaurant. Food wise it was okay. I got the Turkey wing, sweet potatoes and greens. The Turkey wing had some flavor but a little drier than I expected with all the juices. It was a nice size. I didn’t like the greens, they weren’t seasoned as well as I’d hope but I added some salt pepper and hot sauce and they were fine. I really enjoyed the sweet potatoes though, they weren’t too sweet and still had some texture. The cornbread muffin was reall good as well. I wish the sides were a little bit bigger of a portion mainly the sweet potatoes. I liked the cafeteria style it’s always nice to see the food before selecting but we had to remind them to bring our drinks, but again the service was amazing the assisted with carrying the trays to tables and check on all tables to make sure everything was alright. I absolutely recommend giving them a try for the service alone! That’s hard to come by nowadays!

The food was top notch from the short ribs, to the fried catfish, to the Salisbury steak and all of the sides were really good. It was most like we eat in Cajun Country for sure, no need for any Tony's. The people were so kind and helpful from the waiters to the servers behind the line. Costs was very affordable and you got way may than one person could eat in one sitting. I would highly recommend this place when in Louisville KY. Great job to the entire establishment 👏👏

I just got what they had left, which was two little pieces, but then he accommodated the fried chicken to replace it, which was awesome also. If ever, I’m here again, I would definitely eat there again. And the people that work there are just so kind and awesome. And again I love love love this place thank you for taking the whole 90s something people with the two buses that we had from Bon Ami Tours from Louisiana. Kathy Ashworth from Crowley Louisiana
