Meatloaf!!!!
I chose this restaurant because I saw meatloaf and cheese grits on their menu, and I knew we had to try it. We pulled up directions and headed over. The restaurant blended in with the older buildings, but we found it easily enough, parked in the side lot, and went inside.
We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, and our drink orders were taken right away. After receiving my perfectly brewed unsweetened iced tea, I placed my order: smoked meatloaf with cheese grits and green beans. I also added a side of roasted sweet potatoes because… why not?
When my meal arrived, I was absolutely not disappointed. The smoked meatloaf (plated with 2 slices, but I took one slice to-go) was perfectly cooked and delicious, topped with a nice ribbon of ketchup that brought it all together. The sides were generously portioned, well seasoned, and full of flavor — but those cheese grits were OUTSTANDING!
I typically do not write reviews, but this food was too amazing not to share. If you love southern cooking, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. I’ll definitely be back for more and will be telling all of my friends to go check them out!

We had read about your restaurant and wanted to try it. We decided to to take out this evening and we thought it was very good. We want to come back to try the ribs! I was surprised the ribs didn’t come up in the takeout menu.

Top notch food! My favorite of everything I've sampled in Louisville. I only wish my appetite was big enough to try everything on the menu. OMG...SO GOOD! Super friendly staff, too! Seriously, you should stop in. You'll be glad you did!
We were in town after the Flower Festival in Paristown and we so hungry after a bad breakfast in Cincy and walking around the festival. One google took us to The Service Station and we decided to give it a try! We pulled up and I walked in and ordered to go at the bar. The waitress was so nice and welcoming. $47 got us two burgers, egg rolls and a can of coke. My grandpa was probably rolling in his grave at that price-being a Louisville man...but these are the times we live in and Im happy my money goes to an awesome local restaurant with plenty of burger competition. Check them out, you wont be disappointed!
