I’m giving this a two star review because I think one is just plain mean — but that would reflect how I was treated this morning I suppose. I’m not one to leave reviews, but given this situation I felt like it was necessary for anyone that has any dietary restrictions or allergies. I have a severe nut allergy, which a lot of the time, means not eating at places that have high cross contamination surfaces or utensils. I am VERY patient and understanding that asking to be accommodated with a severe allergy is a risk that not all businesses are willing to take. Which is fine! There are signs that clearly display the risk of cross-contamination for those with nut allergies…perfect! I did not realize that this actually meant ‘do not eat here’. I am very cautious in bagel shops and bakeries to avoid cross contamination. I saw this sign and decided it was in my best interest just to order a bagel with no accoutrements as to make this process as easy and safe as possible. The very kind worker even offered to change her gloves which was so thoughtful to ensure I could still eat here comfortably. I never expect places to bend to my needs. I want to fly under the radar and be as low maintenance as possible — with that being said, I always still ask if there are separate cream cheeses that are prepackaged or simple accommodations that can be made (a new knife or separate tub) — always understanding that the answer may be no. Instead of receiving a simple ‘no, if you are high risk, we recommend not getting any cream cheese’ I was told very rudely by the man working (who wasn’t even taking my order mind you) ‘if you’re that worried that you probably shouldn’t even be here’. I was stunned. My friend was stunned. The girl helping me looked extremely uncomfortable. Again, I was simply asking. I was very okay with being told no. But for my business to be rejected over something that could’ve been politely communicated was appalling. I have never had a business fail to adjust to my needs, let alone rudely convey they aren’t interested in trying. It was very uncomfortable situation and vibe for everyone involved. My hope in posting this is to not be accommodated (though, that would be nice for one of the three most common allergens) but to simply share that if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, this business has clearly shared that they are not interested in yours.

The worker we encountered was not wearing a name tag, but this happened roughly 8:20am on 4/30/26 so I hope the business can figure it out. She was short, rounder, with a long dark ponytail. The employee was extremely rude and dismissive, making no effort to correct her mistakes. My friend ordered a large vanilla cold brew, both of us already having paid including a tip. Upon grabbing it, the employee discovered they were out of large cups. Should be no big deal, except we were offered no solutions (just complete silence and a deadpan stare) and the large size was already paid for. My friend and I had to start coming up with solutions as the customers which is ridiculous. Eventually, we put the drink into a large hot drink cup instead. Then, I ordered a regular classic cold brew. The employee put cream in it and I very politely spoke up, saying I asked for a black cold brew. She rudely said that wasn’t possible, as a cold brew with no cream is just an ice coffee. So I guess I wanted an iced coffee. However, the company website describes a classic cold brew as black, aka no cream. So not only was this not true, but we also received a very disrespectful attitude the entire time. Food was pretty good despite the terrible customer service.

Good food. Staff were very rude though. One girl particularly working the register was extremely unpleasant and made no effort to be nice or fix her own mistakes.
