  LX BBQ absolutely deserves every 5-star review it has! We almost didn't go because the prices seemed a little higher than what we're used to paying for BBQ, but after one bite we completely understood why. This is hands down the best BBQ we've had anywhere in Kentucky. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor. The meat was perfectly smoked, tender, and juicy, the BBQ sauce was phenomenal, and even the sides were outstanding. The potato salad tasted homemade, the pickled onions were the perfect touch, and the fresh bun tied everything together. You can truly tell they care about the quality of everything they serve. The portions were generous, the food was fresh, and the staff was friendly. Instead of wondering if it was worth the price, we left wondering when we could come back. If you're debating because of the cost like we were, don't. This isn't just another BBQ restaurant. It's an experience, and every dollar is worth it. Without question, the best BBQ in Kentucky! 😊

  First time visit to LXBBQ tonight and it was everything you’ve heard about and more!!! The brisket was straight out of the smoker with a delicious bark and very juicy and tender. Baked beans for the side were great. My wife has the pulled pork sandwich combo and of course I had to try that as well…top notch!! She had the potato salad (I’m not a fan of potato salad, so I didn’t try it) and was just as happy with it as I was the beans. Finished off with a biscoff banana pudding…AMAZING!!! If you haven’t been, GO, GO QUICK, you can thank me later!!! Wait!!! The service, excellent in every way…kept a check on us and with the small area you could hear them being just as pleasant and helpful to every single person through the door. Great job LXBBQ, we will be back soon. :)

  Pulled pork was the best my husband and I have tried! He loved their brisket. The smoked turkey was good and their greens were delicious! They were kind enough to tell us they work with a limited menu during the weekdays they are open and a full menu on the weekends - the heads up was nice before we looked too long at their options. The banana pudding was also very good, they put a biscoff cookie in it, which was very different! We plan to return during a weekend and give their ribs a try. Their sauces were also awesome!

  A stop in Lexington I came across LX BBQ. This is a newer spot that wasn’t here the last time I passed through. A wonderful bark on the brisket. Nice and salty and peppery. Some bites a little over salty but overall with the bites of the fatty pieces it balanced out nicely. The slice of flat that I got was looking wonderful and had very meaty bite and still very moist. The ribs were a little softer but the honey rib glaze that was poured over at the end helped accentuate the sweetness of the actual pork. I got the slaw and looking at it. It looks exactly like what you get at KFC, but eating it. It had more of a tart bite as if it was using more of a sour cream base which helped balance out the overall fatty and salty flavors. I’m definitely a sucker for the flavor of sour cream. The highlight for me was the Biscoff cookie banana pudding. The custard had a very thick viscosity where I could totally flip it upside down in the container and nothing would fall out. As you can see in the picture when I took a spoon out, the custard itself was still able to maintain its actual shape. And they use the Biscoff cookies. So good. Maybe I fly Delta too much and eat too many of these things but they are some of my favorite cookies and having it in a banana pudding. . . Can’t think of much better.

  I had heard all the hype. Had been truly anticipating this experience. Upon arrival today my weight was very short for I only had one person in the front of me. I ordered a half pound of brisket and requested a fatty with one side of macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was absolutely fantastic. This is where the letdown began I like to think of myself as quite the brisket connoisseur because I eat brisket two or three times a week. B&N market and Bagdad Kentucky is absolutely my favorite in the entire world so they set the bar and it is very high. Expecting my fatty brisket I did not get that at all I received what was a very dry brisket. Overpowered with a lot of salt and pepper not very well balanced. I drove 34 minutes for what I was expecting to be almost as good as B&N. I will come back and I will give it another try. Because brisket is my absolute favorite food I'm just hoping that today was just coincidental. Furthermore the service was incredibly dry itself the gentleman working at the register with glasses who took my order was not very friendly. I wanted to talk to him about all the hype I've heard and that I was excited to try it but I just did not feel welcomed. This impacting the score tremendously. Again I'm just hoping it was a bad day for the food and for the service maybe it's just the weather. It was around 2:00 today. I do not have my receipt. No refund needed. I will be back around.
