  I called at 9:59 on a Sunday night to make a reservation. They close at 10. The hostess picked up and asked if I could hold and then left me on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up. Honestly good for her. I respect that. She was trying to go home. I’ll call tomorrow. 10/10 will eat there again

  Carson’s Food & Drink on Main is NOT a dog-friendly restaurant. We tried to get a table for 4 with a small golden doodle on the outdoor patio at 8pm on a Tuesday evening (8/4/26). There was only 1 table of many occupied on the outdoor (first come-first serve) patio. The manager told us that they do not allow dogs at all and we could not dine there despite advertising a dog-friendly patio online. We were disappointed not to try Carson’s on our one night in Lexington, but East End Tap & Table across the street was very welcoming and provided treats and a wonderful family night out.

  A GREAT experience. We are from California, not local. This restaurant was recommended by a vendor of ours who had went there multiple times. It did not disappoint. The whisky cocktails were superb, the food was out of this world, including the dessert. Unusual combinations for a California guy and amazing flavors. Our server was the icing on the cake. Tylyn is a rockstar; happy, outgoing, very helpful, she helped guide us with choosing the right dishes, she wanted to make sure everything was perfect for our group, she was attentive and genuinely cared about us. I wish I could hire this wonderful person for my business. (If you move to California, give me a call…) A perfect dining experience.

  First time dining at this restaurant, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful! Very nice, clean, with a cool, relaxing vibe. The food and cocktails were wonderful with great flavor and very nice presentation. Ryan was our server and he was awesome! Extremely professional and very friendly and engaging at the same time. He was quite attentive and took great care of us. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening, and I highly recommend this establishment!! I don't know when we'll be in Lexington again, but we're really looking forward visiting Carson's again when we are!
