  I ordered the bbq sandwich special. Side of pinto beans and Mac n cheese. I couldn't finish my sandwich beyond 2 bites. The pork had a horrific taste in the meat. Being from the Carolinas I can assure you this special should not be a repeat. Stick to what you know if Texas is your theme. The bbq sauce didnt even mask the poop taste. Beans were plain, no seasoning, but tender. Mac n cheese was good. I should have known when you smell grease from the parking lot your gonna stink like when you leave. If it wasn't for the sign on the highway I'm not sure this place would exist.

  Small out of the way hometown restaurant that was absolutely AMAZING. Huge portions, fast and friendly service, and delicious food. They also have a wide variety of stuff to choose from. We've found our new go-to restaurant.

  Delicious home cooked meals with generous portions. I had the Catfish & Shrimp Special and it came with two sides. The light fish coating was delicious and the onion rings and mashed potatoes were outstanding. The wife's chicken strips were also lightly coated and 2nd best we've ever eaten.

  As two broke girls from Texas in town to visit the cave, we were thrilled to see the sign for this place on the side of the highway! So glad we stopped in- we ordered the fried pickles, the big fried jalepeno burger, and the catfish plate- all excellent, but I think the burger took the prize. Our only complaint was the sweet tea- didn’t quite taste like home but that’s okay! Would recommend for a great meal and great service in between cave tours.

  The waitress was pleasant but the food was atrocious. We went in on a Sunday about 11am. I asked for breakfast but they only offer that on Saturdays. I ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken had no flavor and the waffles tasted like they were the pre-made frozen kind. The breading fell off the chicken easily with little to no flavor. The waitress offered just waffles but I got the chicken for the dog traveling with us. Coincidentally, she wouldn't eat it. I did eat the waffles but you had to tear them apart with the knife. Tough and heavy texture but I was starving. I could tell they were toasted because the had black burn marks on one side.The coffee didnt even taste like coffee. Not sure what it was but it was awful. The waitress did not come back to the table. We found her when she came in from outside. I had to go get her to get our bill which was over $30 plus tip. I tip the waitress no matter what. That's just who I am. In summary I would give this warning. They have lots of good reviews but the food was the worst I have ever had. Menu is small and I believe the food is just what you can get in your local grocery. I dont think they make any food there. All pre made frozen. Don't order coffee. I told the waitress the food was just ok because I didnt want to ruin her day. This is your warning review on just how bad this place is.
