  While I was hoping for a good nostalgia experience I was definitely disappointed the buffet had mold on food there was a lot that was avoided out of concern for health reasons.

  I don't know who or why they now have some unprofessional person running the store but I called this morning to request a take out order I was asked to hold on and then was hung up on. Only being a few minutes from the store I thought I would just go order the pancakes and the steak stir fry I wanted for my lunch. unfortunately I work somewhere where I cant leave for lunch so I had wanted to get it before and knowing the owners as well as the main manager I know lunch items on the menu can be ordered during breakfast as take out orders so I wanted to get one before work. As soon as I got in the rude worker asked me if I was doing breakfast or lunch and I happily said both. She the proceeded to rudely tell me that I couldn't order any menu items at all. when I explained that menu items could be ordered all day she kept saying no lunch items were being made at all I finally informed her I was going to call Brian because i know for a fact that lunch take out orders can be done if they are menu items. plus if you are in a rush and want a menu item no one is going to pay the price of a Buffet they can't sit down and enjoy. It is very disheartening to learn that they are going to be losing regular customers who love menu items because they are pushing a Buffet that isn't very good. they always have the same things and it gets old eating the same food all the time. and i personally was insulted by the tone of her voice and the way she spoke to me. but I will not be eating at shoneys in a long time if ever again.

  This is my 3rd and last time here. My husband got the buffet and we ordered from the menu. Our food took way too long to get to the table. The chicken was so dry and the tomato looked like it was well passed the expo 🥲
